At the base of a lone tree, two figures witness a miraculous launch. The setting, a planet where natural beauty is supported by steel and stone.
This painting was the culmination of a series, "Unsolved Mysteries". A science fiction scene crafted to stimulate the imagination. All content is rendered in spray paint using a system of hand-drawn, and cut, stencils. The style draws inspiration from grafitti and speed painting techniques with a number of invented processes as well. Latex spray paint on heavy printmaking paper.
